Talking heads from Fox News to CNN and even to the more liberal MSNBC still don’t get it about the Occupy protest that is quickly coalescing into what we call a MOVEMENT.

Criticisms leveled against Occupy encampments worldwide miss the mark. No, this isn’t an inchoate or confused uprising by a bunch of DFH (dirty fucking hippies) or unemployed layabouts. This is the birth of a movement that is the direct outpicturing of the collective shadow of GLOBALISM. Hence, this isn’t a one size fits all protest.

Injustice and inequality have escalated exponentially over the last 25 to 30 years. Each and every attempt at change from the time of Ronald Reagan up to the remedies and policies for America that President Obama pushes for, have been ignored. Hence, we’ve reached the ugliness of critical mass; a new Zeitgeist that emerges through Uranus in square to Pluto (June 2012-2015). This square promises. Yes,  hear me, PROMISES, to bring sweeping global as well as national change.

Again, the OCCUPY Movement is the outpicturing of grief and rage at the corruption contained within the collective Shadow of predatory capitalism, the corporate monopolizing of the human body (medicine for profit) and the rape of Gaia (i.e., global warming, Monsanto frankenfood seeds, etc.). These are just a few of the talking points we could put on the table.

My prefatory remarks are not meant to be in any way a final statement or complete assessment of what lies before us. They are an introduction to a piece written last night by my friend and colleague Karen McCauley. She was moved to respond to an emailer who attacked the Occupy movement as insufficient, ineffective  or “woo-woo”.

The movement is only 10-12 weeks old.

This movement is taking place in 2011 (Uranus-Pluto Square), not 1965 (Uranus-Pluto conjunction opposed by Saturn) when the Vietnam War, during a time of the Draft, coalesced around a dynamic single purpose. STOP THE WAR.

We don’t live in the 20th Century anymore. This is a 21st Century emergence. This is a global emergence, and radicals and protestors from the 1960′s also need to do what Steve Jobs told us to do: THINK DIFFERENT. This isn’t your granny glasses protest anymore. Nor is it Timothy Leary’s world anymore.
Turn On (your iPod), Tune In (to Amy Goodman’s Democracy Now) and Drop Out (of Bank of America and the worldwide corporate whore house).
That being said, I welcome these shared remarks by Karen McCauley. With her permission, please take note of the following:

In Defense of Occupy

“You are certainly entitled to your opinion. And yes, there is no consistency among the demonstrations throughout the world other than their opposition to being continually oppressed, used and discarded by the plutocracy/cutthroat corporate capitalism/greedy number crunchers and despots. And yes, every group has their fringe-people and crazies just as the beginning John Birch Society flavored “tea party” groups had theirs until Koch Bros. and Dick Armey and others stepped in to push the no taxes, no regulations, no entitlements (their terms, not mine) agenda in exchange for trip financing and transportation.

“There’s been numerous marches and demonstrations in Portland over the past 8-9 years against the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. There will never be widespread demonstrations against wars unless the draft is reinstated (as it was during Viet Nam).

“I would certainly rather that the needed changes to how our government is elected and governed come peacefully rather than through violence though I’ll wager that the violence will begin by next summer.  The government takeover by the military industrial (and corporate) complex has been happening over the past 30 years and has been very effective. It is a very different world now and many of the jobs have been eliminated, downgraded or outsourced. Hell, even Motts apple juice comes from concentrate made in China.”  — Karen

FRANKFURT — Europe appeared to be lurching toward a moment of decision in its sovereign debt crisis Sunday, as Greece struggled to meet conditions for additional aid amid rising German impatience with the cost.

“Greece’s imminent default is assured,” Carl B. Weinberg, chief economist at High Frequency Economics in Valhalla, New York, wrote in an e-mail Sunday. “Without an injection of cash within the next weeks, the nation will run out of resources to service its debt.” NYT Global Business

What does Greece have in common with the USA? Prominent planets in cardinal signs – particularly Venus (USA/Greece) and Jupiter (USA). Greece’s Saturn at 11 Cancer closely conjoins the USA’s Sun and squares the USA’s Saturn. A thin-skinned and delicate situation.

National pride and self-esteem are caught up with assets in the bank. Greece’s Ascendant at 13 Cancer is in exact conjunction to the USA’s Sun. This and the aforementioned tight cross-aspects link our fate with Greece’s from the point of view of a shared crisis of debt to asset ratio.

Whereas the USA isn’t likely to default on its debt now or in the future, Greece’s difficulties and faltering alliance with EEC reveals a country under great duress.

If default is imminent, then Greece’s meltdown along with ongoing struggles in Spain, Italy and Ireland, could spell a worldwide depression.

I don’t want to be the spreader of gloom and doom, nor do I want anyone to mistake this tiny bit mundane astrology with anything like financial expertise. The idea of a European or worldwide depression comes from columns written by nobel laureates in economics such as Paul Krugman and Joseph Stiglitz. Nouriel Roubini of NYU is another of my favorites who is “affectionately” nicknamed Dr. Doom.

I’d go with what these experts are saying. I sought to find planetary evidence in Greece’s chart of the coming collapse which isn’t any secret.

There’s a cardinal grand square in Greece’s chart that’s formed up by the transits of Uranus in Aries and Pluto in Capricorn. The world is set for 7 Uranus-Pluto squares between 2012 and 2015, and clues as to how the aspect will play out have already been revealed. First, by the formation of the grand cross in the USA’s chart over most of 2010 and now in Greece’s chart.

Uranus signal sudden, violent, breaking apart. Pluto signals the kind of long-term erosion and disintegration that causes huge collapses. Connecting the dots to the USA’s chart and Greece’s chart, we’re looking at financial collapse (Venus and Jupiter are the money planets).

Along with plutonic erosion, we’re also witnessing draconian slapdowns of the most vulnerable in America and across the globe. As nations struggle to make ends meet (while not daring to upset or inconvenience the uber-rich), those least able to fight or advocate for themselves are being thrown upon the sacrificial alter of predatory capitalism. The poor must pay for the sins of elite.

There are no easy outs or convenient fixes left in the world’s goodie boxes.

Neptune hovering by retrograde in Greece’s 8th house of debt signals a draining out. A siphoning off of not only cash, but life force. A nation dying, or rather, fading and melting away. Neptune’s square to Greece’s VERTEX in the 5th house of speculation and gambles signals a fated encounter with the kind of meltdown signaled in stock markets.

In Memoriam — Starcats.com’s articles on September 11th HERE. The “Prelude” piece, which I just re-read 10 years after having written it, brings me to tears. I’d already mentioned the financial rape of America in that piece. Look where we are today, my friends.

It is sobering to go back over this ground (ground zero) just after the most deadly month in Afghanistan in this ten year slog. What’s also chilling about my Prelude piece was my mention of the fact that I thought that by 9-11-01 Bush would have us at war with either China or Iraq. It seems Afghanistan came first and by March 13, 2003, we were engaged in the “shock and awe” of the bombing of Baghdad. at least 300,000 innocent civilians have been vaporized, shot, or maimed by U.S. forces in Iraq and Afghanistan.
